ABOUT Patnaree Franklin
Franklin (she/her) is a animation generalist in 2D, Japanese subculture illustrator, and fictional author. She has worked on animated productions for Netflix, ABC, and Amazon, as well as independent projects with internationally recognized artists, including Algorhythm Project (Thailand), LAM (Japan), Joel Perez (USA), and more!
She has also published comics in G’day Punch Manga Magazine, including Johnny & Mission Alice and Dear You. She later self-published a young-adult novel, Zaki’s Extraordinary Ocean Friends.
Franklin's current residency is Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Zaki’s Extraordinary Ocean Friends, a debut title showcases her entrepreneurial vision as an independent writer. From developing the world-building in her apartment to placing the finished paperback in audiences’ hands at overseas exhibitions.
Puca Frank means "an honest shape-shifting spirit".It was inspired by when Frank attended a book fair and someone yelled 'Anne Frank' right behind her. The masculine name also reflecting an Australian author, Miles Franklin, who used a masculine-sounding name at a time when she faced discrimination as a new writer.
